A workshop on lung cancer in never smokers was held at JHSPH from January 11-12, 2007. An expert group convened to review the literature on lung cancer in never-smokers. The report from the expert group was submitted as three manuscripts to Clinical Cancer Research and they are currently under review. Additionally, Dr. Michael Thun took the lead in developing a detailed review on what is known about the occurrence of lung cancer in never smokers. He gathered data from major cohort studies around the world. The manuscript was published in 2008.
